Transparent Living

Trans.par.ent - adj.  1.  having the property of transmitting rays of light through its substance so that bodies situated beyond or behind can be distinctly seen.
                                2.  easily seen through, recognized, or detected.
                                3.  open; frank; candid
                                4.  shining through, as light

I love this idea of light shining through so as to illuminate what is inside or behind.  I picture a backlit framed picture of something beautiful, like a Thomas Kinkade painting of a place far too perfect to exist in this world.  What I wouldn't give to have a life that others describe as this - transparent, illuminating the Christ that lives in me!  Transmitting rays of light from my being so that others see the love of the Lord distinctly.  Jesus says in Matthew, "In the same way, let your light shine before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven."

I wanted a forum to share ideas on parenting, homeschooling, navigating this life together, but I'm far too computer illiterate to keep up with a website.  So, I'm hoping this will provide an opportunity to share what I have learned in raising 5 children, homeschooling, neurodevelopmental practices, health and nutritional ideas, and just the everyday struggles and joys of life.  I beg for feedback, your ideas, what you've learned and let's be transparent together.  Life was not meant to be lived alone.
